Holidey in Greece - August 2010
In August 2010, I visited Greece with my family. I was very amazed by the beauty of this country that are effectively exploited by the very hospitable people of this country. In the following I will make a short characterization of this wonderful country as I saw it myself.
I would like to mention that this beautiful country officially known as the "Hellenic Republic" is the southeastern most country in Europe, occupying a large part of the Balkan Peninsula.
We traveled by bus for 19 hours to the Olympic Beach Resort. Greece is a sunny country. The sea water is very clean and the resort of our beach was great.

Our stay was nine days. During this time We made several trips to important objectives.
Firstly, We went to Meteora ("suspended rocks", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above") . The Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos.

Secondly, we visited the island Skyatos, which is one of the most beautiful islands of Greece. We traveled by boat, we visited the famous beach which is called "Koukounaries" meaning "pine cones" after the trees surrounding the beach. This island is wonderful. The water was calm and crystal clear with superb color. We were full of enthusiasm and happiness on this day. Me and my son swam and we played for three hours, and we enjoyed the beauty that nature has given us. Time spent on the island Skyatos remains the most beautiful memory of this year.
Finally, we were in Athens, the capital and largest city of Greece. In Athens we visited the main tourist attractions. The most important tourist attraction was the Acropolis, where we saw the remains of the ancient city. In Athens the temperature was extremely hot, but we have enjoyed, we ate traditional Greek food and we had a great time.
Overall costs were small, we were satisfied and would highly recommend to spend your holidays in Greece.
